Is that seriously the factory roadside kit?

This plus the jack.
Still better than what my Taurus came with.

My E34 has this kind of tray. I have two towing hooks (I) but neither fits in the hole in the front. The threads are suitable but the bumper is in the way to actually get it there. I have the spark plug tool (H), rusty screwdriver (B) and one fixed wrench. The rest are gone.
The kit in the picture has one tool without letters. Its above the H letter.

I think I still have the tow loop in mine. Who uses BMW tools and doesn’t put them back??

True story: my 2002 impreza was leaking fuel from the fuel lines ontop of the manifold. I used that screwdriver to tighten the hose clamps so I could finish my drive to Montana in the dead of winter -15 deg F.

I’m just surprised a bmw owner used the tools in the first place.

I Should have kept this when I sold the car...
(mine was *NOT* missing the medium combination wrench)

I would love to see a top ten list of the best (and ten of the worst) factory tool kits equipped in production cars.

If I remember correctly, you have to smuggle in your own warning triangle in the country after picking it up on euro delivery. They don’t get to leave eurolandia. I gotta check if I have these between the E36 & E39. I love the screwdriver.

That kit screams “you’re gonna need this stuff!”

It looks like it’d make a nice pillow.

6/10 allen keys are not gold.
Get your shit together McLaren!

Seriously the e36 screwdriver is my favorite

I borked mine :( I used it to hit something and now the shaft is stuck/embedded into the plastic handle.

For laying on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck? Is that your implied joke ;) ?
/Alfa owners are touchy
/jk
/mine was actually super reliable and never left me stranded...

Porsche 928 kit is fairly nice. I think mine might even be complete.
*not mine pictured*

Q: Is this a joke?
A: No. A horse walks into a bar and bartender asks, “Why the long face?” That is a joke.

I’m just shocked that McLaten uses freaking Allen wrenches. Aka basically already rounded off tools. Torques is where it’s at.

I’m a frayed knot.

YES! The punchline to the joke that begins, “Three ropes walk in a bar”. I love that joke.

My favorite is the one in the x308. Convenient, though I’d wager at least 50% of these have never even had the compartment opened.
Also, not mine pictured. I’d never let one of my engines get this dirty.

That’s amazing!
